Why work with us

Why choose Elite Roofing Scotland?

Choosing a roofing and cladding contractor for an operational building is a risk decision. Experience makes it a safe one. Adam Taylor founded Elite Roofing Scotland in 2018, after more than 15 years in the trade, and we have delivered hundreds of major projects for clients across the central belt. We hold NFRC, CHAS and SafeContractor accreditation. You get a written specification, with the programme and the price, before any work starts. We recover before we replace, so we renew only what has genuinely failed.

Accreditations

Accredited by the industry's leading bodies

Elite Roofing Scotland is vetted and independently assessed by the bodies that set the standards for roofing, safety, access and training. Each accreditation is earned on assessment and renewed to stay current.

NFRC logo

NFRC

NFRC is the UK roofing trade body, and membership is earned rather than automatic. We passed independent site inspections and are assessed against the industry Code of Practice on workmanship, competence and financial standing, with the membership renewed on reassessment.

Alcumus SafeContractor logo
Alcumus SafeContractor logo

Alcumus SafeContractor

SafeContractor is a third-party safety audit run by Alcumus. An outside assessor reviewed our risk assessments, method statements and site management against current UK health and safety law, and re-audits us each year to keep the approval current.

CHAS Elite

CHAS Elite is the top tier of CHAS accreditation, now run by Veriforce. It assesses us against the Common Assessment Standard across thirteen areas of risk management, well beyond health and safety alone, and it is the standard public sector framework work requires.

IPAF logo
IPAF logo

IPAF

IPAF sets the standard for powered access equipment such as MEWPs, scissor lifts and cherry pickers. Our operatives are trained and tested to IPAF standards and carry the card, so competence to work at height on powered platforms is verified for each person on site.

CITB logo
CITB logo

CITB

CITB is the statutory training body for UK construction. As a registered employer we meet its continuous-training requirement and support the apprenticeship pipeline, so the way our team is trained is measured against a national standard rather than set in-house.

PASMA logo
PASMA logo

PASMA

PASMA sets the standard for safe assembly and use of mobile aluminium towers. Our team holds current PASMA Tower Usage certification, required on any job where access at height is by a mobile tower rather than fixed scaffold or a powered platform.

Services

Explore our roofing and cladding services

From overcladding and full re-roofs to asbestos removal, rooflights, gutters and reactive repairs, we cover every stage of a building's roof and walls. Choose a service to see how we approach it.

Overcladding

Overcladding recovers a worn but sound roof or wall without stripping it. We fit a new insulated outer skin straight over the existing sheets, lifting weather performance and insulation without a full strip-out.

Flat Roofing

A flat roof depends on a sound covering and water draining off it cleanly. We survey first and diagnose the faults, from ponding and blistering to failed upstands, then refurbish or replace the covering on any kind of flat roof, in single ply, EPDM or built-up felt.

Roof Replacement

When a roof has reached the end of its life, replacement is the honest answer. We strip the failed covering and re-roof in industry-leading insulated panels or built-up systems, specified to current Building Regs. We specialise in phased works, keeping live buildings operational and weather-tight at every stage.

Cladding

Cladding is the building's outer envelope, across both roof and walls. As cladding contractors we install and replace composite panels, profiled steel and rainscreen systems, and put right failed laps, fixings and cut-edge corrosion on tired elevations. Specifications are made to meet current compliance and U-value targets.

Asbestos Removal

Older roofs and walls often still contain asbestos cement, which has to be removed and disposed of safely. We carry out non-licensed and notifiable non-licensed removal on sheeting, gutters and downpipes to HSE's industry best practice guidelines. Our business is insured for non-licensed removal works and all our operatives are UKATA trained. Where removal is not the safer option, we encapsulate by overcladding instead.

Rooflight Replacement

Rooflights bring natural daylight into an industrial roof, but GRP units turn brittle, discoloured and fragile with age. We install new rooflights and replace failed ones with non-fragile units, matched to the profile and specification of the existing roof. Run on its own or as part of a re-sheet, it is a genuine safety upgrade as much as a daylight one.

Reactive Maintenance

A leak does not wait, and neither do we. We give same-day cover for leaks and storm damage, making the roof safe and watertight first, then diagnose the cause and quote a fixed-price permanent repair once the building is dry. Annual maintenance contracts keep small roof repairs from becoming major ones.

Gutter Cleaning and Refurbishment

Blocked or failed gutters are how most industrial roofs start leaking. We clear, line and repair them, from scheduled clearance with an inspection report through to lining failed valley gutters with CGL and Sharmans systems, which seals them without the cost of replacement. We get to them before a blockage turns into a leak.

Yes. Before any order is placed, we put the recommended system, the programme and the price in writing. We also confirm the manufacturer product guarantee that applies to the system we install. You know exactly what is covered before work starts.

We work across Scotland. That includes Glasgow, East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, Stirling, Fife, Ayrshire and the wider Central Belt and into the north of England. We are based in East Kilbride, so we can respond quickly across the Central Belt.

Industrial roofing covers the large roofs and walls on warehouses, factories, distribution centres and similar buildings. It is not house roofing. The materials are different: metal roof sheeting, composite and profiled panels, single ply, built-up felt and EPDM membranes. Add to that cladding, rooflights, gutters and cut-edge corrosion. We handle the whole envelope. We work at height with the right access and method statements for an operational site.

A leak does not wait. We offer emergency repairs for active leaks and storm damage. Tell us the building, the problem and how we get on the roof. We will make the roof safe and watertight as a first step, then plan any permanent repair. Response times are quickest across the Central Belt, given we are based in East Kilbride. We aim to attend the same day where possible.

Yes. Our work carries a workmanship guarantee. Where we can, we back that up with a manufacturer's system guarantee on the products we install, depending on the system specified. We confirm the guarantee terms in your written specification before any work starts.
