Terms and conditions
Elite Roofing Scotland Terms and conditions
The terms that apply when you instruct Elite Roofing Scotland to carry out roofing or cladding work, and when you use this website.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms apply to any roofing, cladding or related work you instruct Elite Roofing Scotland Ltd ("we", "us", "our") to carry out, and to your use of this website.
1. About us. Industrial roofing and cladding contractor based in East Kilbride, covering Scotland and the north of England. Email: info@eliteroofingscotland.co.uk. Phone: +44 7432 262740. Company registration number: SC589209. Registered office address: 52 Avondale Avenue, East Kilbride, G74 1NT.
2. Getting a quote. Most work starts with a free site survey. Following the survey, we provide a written specification setting out the recommended work, the system or materials to be used, the programme, and the price. A quote remains valid for a set period after issue, after which prices may need to be reviewed.
3. Placing an order. A contract is formed when you confirm in writing, including by email, that you accept our written specification and price, or when we agree a start date, whichever happens first.
4. Price and payment. Prices are as set out in your written specification, in pounds sterling. Whether prices include or exclude VAT will be confirmed in your specification. Payment terms are set out in your specification, which may include a deposit before work starts and staged or final payment on completion. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, where applicable.
5. Changes during the work. If, once work is under way, we find something the original survey could not show, for example hidden deck damage, we will let you know and agree any change to price or programme with you in writing before continuing that part of the work.
6. Carrying out the work. We carry out work with reasonable care and skill, in line with the written specification and applicable Building Regulations. We will agree access, working hours and site safety requirements with you before work starts. You are responsible for making sure we have safe, reasonable access for the agreed period.
7. Guarantees. Our work carries a workmanship guarantee. The systems we install carry the relevant manufacturer's product guarantee, depending on the system specified, confirmed in writing as part of your specification.
8. Your right to cancel (consumers only). If you are a consumer and we agree the contract away from our business premises, for example at your home, or entirely at a distance by phone, email or through our website, you normally have 14 days from the date of the contract to cancel free of charge, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within that 14-day period, you may lose the right to cancel once the work is complete, or need to pay for work done up to the point you cancel. We will explain your specific cancellation rights, and ask for your agreement if you want work to start early, before any work begins. This right does not generally apply where we agree the contract in person at our own business premises.
9. If something goes wrong. Contact us as soon as possible so we can put it right. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under UK law. Subject to that, our liability for any claim relating to the work is limited to the price of the work in question.
10. Health and safety. Work is carried out in line with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and relevant health and safety law. Asbestos-related work is carried out in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
11. Photographs of completed work. We may photograph a project before, during and after work for our own records and quality checks, and, unless you tell us otherwise in writing, for use in our marketing, website and case studies. We will not identify your address or personal details without your separate agreement.
12. Rescheduling by us. We may occasionally need to reschedule work, for example due to weather, access issues, or matters outside our control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible and agree a revised date.
13. Complaints. Contact us at info@eliteroofingscotland.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge your complaint promptly and work with you to resolve it.
14. General. These terms, together with your written specification, are the entire agreement between us for the work. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms from time to time; the version that applies is the one current when you instruct us. These terms are governed by Scots law, and any dispute is dealt with by the Scottish courts, unless otherwise required by law.
